Sweet Scarlet's Printable Easter Collection Dessert Table

Easter herald's the arrival of Spring!

And that is exactly what I wanted to capture in this fun, colorful and bright Printable Easter Collection.


I was inspired by the some beautiful grosgrain ribbon for the striped pattern and the bunnies and bows seemed the perfect partners.

I added fresh flowers to this dessert table to make it even brighter. My kids had a great time helping me paint the striped eggs. I used different widths and textures of pastel-colored ribbon to decorate the cake and candy jars, to tie in with the stripes.

For the food I made classic double-vanilla cupcakes, from my favorite recipe – which turns out perfectly every time. I also made "Easter Bark" from white chocolate and candies. This was such an easy party food to make and it looks good too. I finished the table with traditional lemonade in glass bottles with paper straws and loads of Easter favors. The centrepiece Easter cake is a 6" vanilla buttercake.

Be Mine Valentine

Valentine's Day, February 14 is almost here, and to celebrate I've designed this set of DIY Valentine's Printables.

This set features a "Love" theme incorporating aqua blue with the traditional pink and red. I'm really happy with how this set turned out – I hope you like it too.

The dessert table I styled has loads of candy, dotted with the most beautiful red velvet ribbon as candy jar decorations. Vanilla cupcakes and traditional heart-shaped lollipops form the centrepiece of the table, surrounded by decadent Jelly Delights, teeny Choc Cups, wrapped chocolate bars and mini choc bites and watermelon cordial. Red tissue daisies form the backdrop.

This set features loads and loads of tags, favor cards and editable straw flags which can all be used on your Valentine's favors for family, friends and at school. Just print, trim & create!

New Year's Eve Dessert Table: "All that Glitters"

To capture the glittery warmth of a New Year's Eve celebration, I have created this "All that Glitters" Dessert Table & DIY Party Printable Set to welcome 2012.

Featuring a beautiful, gold bokeh design and teamed with warmly-themed food (and chilled champagne, of course!), this glittery feast sets the stage for a fun-filled celebration.

To add to the golden sparkle, I used a glittery wrapping paper for the table cover & cupcake wrappers.

Food & drinks included a warming Butterscotch Schnapps starter, tagged with personalized wine charm tags (you can personalize these yourself in the PDF file!). A mix of savoury & sweet foods followed including individual serves of Apricot & Almond Cream Cheese with Honey, served with crackers; Champagne Cupcakes, Brandy Snaps & a trio of Coffee, Vanilla & Chocolate Macarons.

Co-ordinating candy bar wrappers complete the look along with wine labels, bunting, favor tags and fill-in invitation to set the tone.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ...

It certainly is looking like Christmas at our house this week . My kids are well into the routine of checking their Advent Calendars (first thing in the morning & before breakfast!) to consume the little chocolates inside and count down the sleeps until Christmas.

The tree is up, almost all the gift shopping is done (but none of the wrapping), and my credit card is looking a little bit worse for wear. Yes, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ... except for the cupcakes!

I have had no time at all this year to bake any! So this is last year's collection of cupcake ideas I came up with for various occasions. I really like simple, easy ideas that work.
